The Team
Debbie Collette-Cromp
As a former Special Education Preschool classroom teacher and Early Intervention & Preschool itinerant teacher, Debbie grounded her philosophy for teaching on the importance of building a solid foundation for each child in the context of their family, culture, and environment. She firmly believes that regardless of where a child's skill development is along the continuum of typical milestones, one's practice should first be based on developmentally appropriate methods. Debbie was blessed to work with many wonderful parents, professionals, and agencies. These relationships inspired her to not only share her knowledge but to help children develop beyond imposed limits.
Karen
Karen started her career in Pennsylvania in 1985 as a child care provider, which motivated her to pursue teaching Universal PreK and Kindergarten teachers in Virginia & New York States. She took a break from teaching to home school her two boys until the younger was eight years old. Since re-entering the field of education in 2008, she has been a new teacher coach and trainer for Jamestown Public School, NY. Karen is currently a kindergarten teacher, a trainer, and a joy-filled Jesus follower. She is excited to share her joy for learning and life with Debbie at Teaching Improves Performance.
